This set of four square coasters features two meaningful designs, each honoring the legacy of the USS Indianapolis and her crew. The “We Remember” design reflects the values of Courage, Honor, and Legacy, with 10 stars representing the ship’s battle honors. A bold Navy Blue circle—three-quarters complete—honors the 879 men lost, while the remaining grey marks the 316 survivors, symbolizing the powerful ratio: only 1 in 4 survived. A unique and meaningful way to remember and reflect.
The second design features original artwork created aboard USS Indianapolis in 1944 by Lt. Commander Earl Henry, the ship’s dentist and an officer who was later killed in action when the ship was torpedoed. His striking illustration, created a year before his death, depicts an American eagle fatally wounding a Japanese serpent—symbolizing the predicted defeat of the Imperial Japanese Navy. Though he did not live to witness victory, Henry’s painting powerfully captured the spirit and determination of Americans fighting in the Pacific.
Both a tribute and a conversation piece — a timeless way to remember, reflect, and honor those who served.
